Since the beginning of this year all we have heard about is Apple. Apple this, and Apple that. And you know, It’s getting kinda old. I like Apple’s products, but I don”t think they’ve not been in the news since the iPad announcement. Hearing about Apple in the news is about as likely as Justin Bieber trending on Twitter. It’s going to happen.
On January 28th, 2010 the iPad was announced. After that it was all we heard about for months. Then in February, iTunes sold their 10 billionth song, and Steve Jobs called the guy who bought it, and played it off as a prank. But people were still talking about the iPad until it finally came out on April, 3rd, and then it was even worse.
After this, Jobs waged war against the likes of Adobe over Flash, and how bad it sucks, and why Apple will not be supporting it on their devices. (I’m not taking sides on this one. In my opinion they’re both wrong.)
Things started to cool down after this, but not by much. On April 8th iPhone OS 4.0 was announced to be released this summer. The new OS brings some of the power of a jailbroken iPhone to a non-jailbroken iPhone at five times the efficiency, but only if you have a 3Gs (3G only partially supported, and original iPhone users are screwed). The SDK and developer preview became available. The OS was promptly jailbroken, and Everyone was happy.
A week later the new Intel Core i5 and i7 MacBook Pros were released. They’re faster, and that made Apple even more money.
At this point Apple’s stocks were probably astronomically high.

As if your life wasn’t Appley enough we then see an unexpected scoop, the next generation iPhone prototype. I’m sure you’ve all head about that, but to sum it up quickly, an Apple developer lost the prototype iPhone at a bar, some guy found it, tried to return it, but then sold it to Gawker media who owns Gizmodo, who had the exclusive on the next gen iPhone. It was reviewed, returned to Apple, and now there a lot of legal disputes to be settled.
Then the other day the iPad 3G came out, which you SHOULD NOT buy/ SHOULD NOT OF bought because there’s better ways to get online with your iPad anywhere. Check this tweet for an example.
Then WWDC was announced, which really isn’t big news, but it’s still news.
I don’t hate Apple, I actually really like their products, but I just don’t want to hear about them in the news for at least a week. Mostly because of all the Apple fanboys, and as we all know, the worst kind of fanboy, is an Apple fanboy.
Are you guys sick of hearing about Apple, or are you a fanboy? Let me know in the comments.
